Leadership
Jim is a certified Project Manager and a Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI-in-progress) with over 20 years of experience in the elevator industry, engineering, and project management. He has worked in both the public and private sectors, leading a wide range of vertical transportation and infrastructure projects with a focus on safety, performance, and code compliance.
Before founding BayLift, Jim served as an engineering manager for several major elevator manufacturers, where he gained deep technical knowledge of elevator systems, equipment design, and field operations. His time in the private sector sharpened his ability to assess systems from both a contractor and owner’s perspective—skills that now benefit public agencies and clients who need practical, unbiased guidance.
Through BayLift, Jim partners with engineering firms, contractors, and public agencies to support every phase of elevator projects—from design review and modernization planning to construction oversight and compliance assessments. His consulting approach bridges the gap between technical design, project delivery, and long-term maintenance.
